Episode 2

Babies and beyond

In this episode, we speak with Professor Mark Tomlinson, a global leader in child development and mental health.

Drawing from decades of experience across research and practice, he explores how early relational experiences—beginning in infancy—shape lifelong well-being, and why putting children at the centre of policy and programming starts long before school age.

We also delve into the role of language in framing children’s needs, the importance of infant mental health, and how shifting mindsets can unlock more responsive and equitable support systems.
