Episode 3

Building Ecosystems for Every Child: Early Years, Networks, and Democracy

What happens if we stop seeing early childhood as only a parents’ responsibility and start treating it as a shared societal priority? In this episode of Policy in Play, Dominic and Edda speak with Liana Ghent, Director of the International Step by Step Association (ISSA). They discuss how early childhood services can move from isolated silos to integrated ecosystems. They show how collaboration, shared language, and a network mindset can improve services, empower professionals, and create stronger, more democratic communities for children and families.
